People who attend Two Museums and a Royal Palace tonight will be the first to see the two latest galleries to be reinstalled. Curator of European and American Art Theresa Papanikolas and our hard-working installation crew have transformed two period rooms of 18th-century furniture and tchotchkes into a showcase of our most magnificent 20th-century works—where the larger-than-life Morris Louis painting (pictured above) rubs elbows with Georgia O’Keeffe’s small but evocative Hawai‘i landscapes. Here are some shots of the crew putting the finishing touches on the galleries. We’ll let you explore the finished product in person.
