The Honolulu Academy of Arts has joined the Brooklyn Museum and Wikipedia project Wikipedia Loves Art—a photographic scavenger hunt that is happening around the world, from the Academy to London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. On Feb. 14, 15 and 27 (including ARTafterDARK: Mughal), grab your digicam and come over to photograph works of art—we supply the clues, you upload your finds on Flickr. The winner will receive a copy of Robert Frank’s seminal book “The Americans,” two memberships to Friends of Film Friday and four passes to ARTafterDARK. It’s the museum world and Wikipedia’s Valentine to art. If you’re on a budget, do the hunt on Feb. 15—the museum is FREE that day, it’s Bank of Hawaii Family Sunday. (Massive thanks to Sabrina Velazquez for organizing the event and Alan Konishi for designing the flyer.)
