Last Tuesday morning, Kaliko Mai‘i‘i, Nani Rían Kenna Ross, and Scott W. Kekama Amona huddled in the Doris Duke Theatre over papers and a laptop. The three aspiring filmmakers were part of the Sundance Native Shorts Lab held at the museum in May, and they have been having follow-up meetings to keep the filmmaking momentum going.

This past mini-session they critiqued each other’s scripts and discussed how to move a script into the pre-production phase, sharing their collective experiences.
