Last Wednesday Korean culture was in bloom at the museum for the opening of Splendor and Serenity: Korean Ceramics from the Honolulu Museum of Art, on view through Nov. 8. In attendance were South Korean Consul General Walter K. Paik (pictured above, far right) and his wife Jeong Ki Min, and the evening featured performances by University of Hawai‘i Korean Ensemble instructor Seola Kim and the Halla Huhm Dance Studio. Members at the Contributing level and above received invitations. They enjoyed a bi bim bap bar and sampled Hwayo soju courtesy of media sponsor KBFD. We’ve created a gallery of images from the event.
