Our Vincent van Gogh painting is back! After a yearlong trip, which included stops at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the National Gallery of Canada and the Denver Art Museum, Wheat Field is back home. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the painting getting unpacked, transferred to storage, undergoing a check to make sure it’s still in the same condition as when it left us, and then, finally, hung on the wall in our reinstalled Impressionist + post-Impressionist art gallery where it joins works by Claude Monet, Paul Gauguin and Paul Cézanne (among others!). Click on the red box in the lower right hand corner of the photo above to see a slideshow of the process.
