Now in the Museum Shop is paper jewelry by North Carolina–based designer Nancy Raasch. Paper? Yup, Raasch uses joomchi—Korean hand-felted mulberry paper to make her delicate yet striking creations. Pictured above left to right: curl earrings ($150), curl necklace ($250), red and gray cuffs ($115 each), swirl necklace ($170), swirl earrings ($150).

And because the shop is about making as much as shopping, it carries a book on how to make joomchi. Pictured below left to right: Stacked earrings ($150), floral necklace ($300), Joomchi & Beyond by Jiyoung Chung ($39.95). For more information, call the Museum Shop at 532-8703.
