Sascha Paladino (pictured left) is banjo superstar Bèla Fleck’s half brother. What a talented family. Fleck went to Africa to explore his instrument’s origins and Paladino made a film about it. As part of Friends of Film Friday, “Throw Down Your Heart” screens at Doris Duke Theatre tonight at 7:30 and Paladino will be there to introduce it and answer your questions afterward. Then on Nov. 28 and 29, Béla Fleck and the Flecktones will play Blaisdell Concert Hall.
