Phase II of the reinstallation of galleries 1 to 10 is done! Now you can see the museum’s 18th-century European art in a whole new way. What was Gallery 5, housing 17th-century European art, is now the gallery of 18th-century European art, set against a dramatic blue. When you look at the gallery from the far end of the Portraiture Gallery, the sightline is stirring. Here are images of the reinstallation process.
