It was a great first weekend here at Spalding House! Here I am installing the colored mirrors, which museum visitors and I decided have a fascinating effect upon the Cades Pavilion lanai. The gradual shifting sun challenged us to place the reflective circles to accept as much sunlight as possible throughout the day. As the wind picks up, the reflective colors wiggle, producing a lively dance of colors. We also installed a dozen or so Mylar flowers that are painted with acrylics and Sharpie pens. At first glance, some of the elusive objects deceive the viewer by harmonizing with the natural setting. Visitors to the museum are enjoying identifying the artificial amongst the natural.
