Artist Kinuko Takagi’s diaphanous silk scarves can make anyone feel special. She uses a labor-intensive vegetable-dye process called kusakizome. She soaks the fabric then adds aluminum and soda ash, heats it, and rinses it—and does this up to three times. $185.
