Educators: Look what’s coming to a school mailbox near you soon!
For the past few months, educators from the Honolulu Museum of Art have been collaborating with educators from the Department of Education and Hanahau‘oli School to create a series of visual art education classroom posters that will be distributed to every DOE school classroom on O‘ahu. The first poster features Juliette May Fraser’s painting Lei Sellers. These posters can be used as a tool to help students hone their visual thinking skills, which can translate to literacy skills and also be applied to any subject that requires thorough observation and an ability to describe what you see.
