To help the museum’s efforts to build relationships with teachers from Title 1 schools, the Atherton Family Foundation recently awarded the museum a three-year grant of $45,000 per year. With this support, the museum aims to double the number of students from Title 1 schools who participate in our school tour program each year.

“This important grant ensures that our programs reflect the diversity of our public school students and that we become a dynamic part of the public school curriculum,” says museum director Stephan Jost. “We hope that teachers from Title 1 schools come to view the museum as an accessible educational resource that directly meets their needs and improves student achievement.”
